Muck, Mire, Moss...
We're In The Swamp!
Deep in our homeschool lesson all about the Swamp Creature, had us exploring far more than the unusual comic character. We were treading through learning topics at every turn- ecosystems, composting, pollution, and wildlife.
Just as complex as the Swamp Creature himself, our seemingly odd topic was uncovering a week full of learning possibilities, and I certainly wasn't going to chop it down!
Embracing all the learning there is surrounding the creature, and his habitat, had our week packed full of learning activities, games, and readings. With all that information taking root, I was sure to include a brain break, to get us creating and to keep up our energy- after all, trekking through the swamp is no easy task!
To keep my little swamp creatures happy and on the move, I brought us into the kitchen, where a swamp themed kitchen creation was lurking. The easy of this creation, paired with the small task of measuring and mixing, was just the type of creation we needed.
If a swamp lesson plan or swamp party theme is lurking in your future, be sure to include these fun and delicious creations!
